THE PEOPLE'S HOUSE is risograph pamphlet of texts that respond in some way to other works: "The name comes from the 'Casa del Pueblo' set up by the socialist and trade unionist Pablo Iglesias in Madrid in 1908. It seemed to us to signify a place for situating a discourse characterised by endlessly expanding mutuality, and also to signal that this poetry book would be a thing in and of the material world. The practical impossibility of all the people in the world actually being in one house, is belied by the immediate sense conjured that there must be, will be, somewhere, a place that belongs to everyone."
